Panthers win battle of attrition
Conditioning came into play as the Panthers and Texans met in a battle of attrition, but it was Colleyville Heritage that held on for a 23-25, 12-25, 25-21, 25-19, 16-14 over Northwest (16-15, 4-4) in a District 5-5A matchup. The match featured gutsy performances and long rallies, said coach Libby Torres. Jordan Jesberg led the Panthers (19-12, 4-4) with 19 kills and 10 digs, and Amanda Anderson added 18 kills. Both teams, along with Grapevine, are tied for fourth in district.
