The Carroll Lady Dragons are free and clear in the District 5-5A playoff race. After that, it gets murky.

Carroll (30-4, 12-0) has already clinched the district title. Keller (16-19, 8-4) needs one victory in its final two games to sew up one of the three remaining spots. Colleyville Heritage (22-13, 7-5) seems to have the inside spot for another one as it closes out against Richland and Haltom, which are a combined 2-22 in district. That could leave Northwest, Keller Central and Grapevine fighting for the final playoff spot.

While Colleyville Heritage would seem to be in good position for its first playoff trip since 2003, the Lady Panthers aren't printing playoff T-shirts yet.

"If we don't continue winning, none of what we've done will matter," Colleyville Heritage coach Libby Torres said. "We're pleased with how we've played but we've still got work to do."

Colleyville Heritage beat Richland and Haltom in the first round of district. Richland's lone district victory is over Haltom, and Haltom's was against Richland.
