Student's Guide to Project Graduation

Frequently Asked Questions

What and when is Project Graduation?
Project Graduation is an all-night lock-in celebration exclusively for graduating seniors that will be held the evening of graduation. This alcohol- and drug-free event will provide fun, safe and memorable celebration with friends from your class.  Make plans now by returning your signed contract to the school office before the deadline. 

What do I need to do to get in?
You must submit a signed Student Contract and any payment required no later than May 23, 2008. All contracts must be signed by the student and parent.

When is check-in time?
You must check in between 10:30 pm and 11:00 pm at the event site.

What about transportation to Project Graduation?
Since the event is close by, bus Transportation to the event site will not be provided.

Can I bring a date?
Only if your date is another graduating senior from CHHS. This is a party for CHHS seniors only.

What should I bring to Project Graduation?
As little as possible. Ladies may bring a small purse. Everyone can bring their yearbooks for signing. A safe storage area will be provided for the yearbooks. Do not bring much cash. Everything will be free at the event.

What events are planned?
Each year there are different events planned for Project Graduation.  Typically, there will be arcade games, bowling, music, and lots of food. In the past, we have also had hypnotists, karaoke, butt sketch artists, sumo wrestling, comedians and many other attractions.

Can I leave early?
In case of an emergency a student may be checked out early ONLY by a parent at the event location. For the safety of students, everyone else is expected to stay. Remember, this is a lock-in. No one will be permitted outside the doors after 11:00 pm. No one will be allowed to re-enter if they choose to leave early.

What other rules are there?
No student will be admitted if it is suspected that they have already consumed drugs or alcohol. Use of any of these products during the party will result in your immediate removal and a phone call will be made to your parents. Police officers will be on site to deal with inappropriate behavior or violations of the law.

How can Seniors help out?
You are welcome to attend the monthly planning meetings and give your opinions on what you want. Please check the Project Graduation section of the school website for the next scheduled meeting.

  • 10:30 -11:00 p.m.    Student Check-in

  • 11:00 pm - 5:00 am   Project Graduation

  • 5:00 a.m. Students released from Project Graduation
