Education: Bachelor of Science in Biology Texas Wesleyan University
   
Background: This will be my 24th year in the teaching profession and I still love what I do! I spent eleven years teaching in Arlington ISD. I'm a founding faculty member at Heritage Middle School, where I taught for twelve years. During my time at HMS, I taught regular and PAP 7th grade science, served as Science Department Chair, Team Leader and Cheerleading sponsor.
              
Teaching Philosophy:

I believe all students can learn and be successful. It is my job to create a positive, trusting environment that will encourage students to leave their comfort zone and learn to reason on a higher level. When the connection between teacher and student is made, learning can take place.
Personal Statement:

I have been married 23 years to Lee Friday, we live in this great community. We have two sons, Bryan, a senior and Matthew a sophomore here at CHHS. I enjoy supporting the Panthers, but come basketball season things get serious. When I'm not cheering for the Panthers, I like to read, work in the yard and jog.
