Background:

It is with great pleasure and pride that I begin my 20th year in the GCISD family. This is the only district where I have been employed and I am very fortunate to be a part of the growth and excitement of such an incredible district. I began my career as a PE teacher at Colleyville Middle School where I taught for four years. I then made the move to the Grapevine Nine Center and I taught there for 6 years before being a part of the teachers opening Colleyville Heritage High School. During my years of service, I have taught PE, Speech, Dance I, II, III and IV, Teen Connections, Leadership and coached the Varsity Swim Team at Grapevine High School. I thoroughly enjoy teaching at CHHS and I adore my students.

Educational  Philosophy:

I believe that life is a continual learning experience and that each student adds their own unique print to that process.

It is important to understand the motivating factor with each student and help them explore their interests and strengths in a caring and nurturing environment. Each student can and will learn when encouraged and motivated to do their best. High expectations help everyone reach their potential.

Personal Statement:

My son and I live in the Grapevine community and he attends classes at CHHS. I am also fortunate to have my nephew and niece attending CHHS. I am an avid walker and reader and I love to travel. I have become; somewhat, of an amateur soccer expert as my son plays on a select team and for the school.
