Background:

As a child I always played school; and I was surrounded by numerous aunts and uncles and a sister who were teachers, so I guess it was inevitable that I would choose teaching as a career.

After graduating from college, I was employed by the Clint Murchison family, the original owners of the Dallas Cowboys, as an administrative assistant. I was officed in the same building as the Cowboys and rode in the elevator numerous times with Roger Staubach and Tom Landry. However, my dream was to teach, so the next fall I was thrilled to accept my first teaching job.

After teaching for five years, I left teaching to pursue a job in the Sinai Peninsula. I was employed by an American contractor supporting the troops rotating to ensure the return of sectors of the Sinai Desert to Egypt from Israel mandated by former President Jimmy Carter at the Camp David Accords. I was assigned to the North Camp of the MFO at El Gorah, Egypt, supposedly the place where Delilah cut Samson's hair!

It was a wonderful opportunity to experience so many different cultures and to travel. I was a five-hour drive from Cairo, a two-hour drive from Jerusalem, and a three-hour flight from Europe. I visited the pyramids of Giza, the wailing wall of Jerusalem, as well as, Greece, Cypress, and Europe numerous times.

Upon my return to the states, I couldn't imagine any other job than teaching.

Shortly after resettling in the states, I met my husband and we moved to the metroplex. We have been blessed with two beautiful children and a beautiful life in Grapevine-Colleyville.

Teaching Philosophy:

I believe that all students enjoy learning. Some students learn differently than others, and I love the challenge of finding ways to connect learning to all students.

Personal Statement:

I enjoy teaching more than any other profession I could imagine. I try to always have a positive attitude and a smile for each student who enters my classroom. I hope that I not only teach knowledge and skills, but also a positive outlook on life.
