Background:

I have had the opportunity to teach in five very different educational settings, including Colleyville Heritage High School. I have taught and coached students who range in age from seventh grade to senior year in high school. Each situation has offered varied learning experiences for me. The many different teachers that I have had the privilege to work with have influenced my teaching style greatly. Contact with many master level teachers has allowed me to develop an effective classroom management and teaching style that continues to improve yearly.

Educational Philosophy:

My teaching philosophy is simple: keep it interesting and relevant and they will learn. I am lucky with the subjects I teach that this is very easy to do. I strive to make my classes apply to each student’s personal life so that they will feel value in what I am teaching.

As an educator I constantly strive to adjust my subject matter to the individuals in the classroom. I feel this is essential to maintaining a classroom environment that is conducive for the success of all the students in my classes

Background:

I grew up in the Chicago area, the youngest of six children. My older siblings are spread out over the country. They have blessed me with 6 nieces and 4 nephews. I enjoy visiting them as much as possible during vacations. My oldest niece was a member of the 2004 gold medal US Olympic softball team and will hopefully represent the US again in Beijing in 2008.

Anything Else:

I have three dogs, of which one is named, after our mascot, “Buster”. I enjoy playing golf and hit my first hole in one in the summer of 2002.

I also officiate college and USA volleyball and earned my Junior National patch in the summer of 2005.
