Background:

My teaching career began in Tulsa, OK, at a magnet middle school. In 1994, I was hired to help inaugurate geography into the curriculum at Grapevine Junior High; subsequently I was lucky to become one of the founders of Colleyville Heritage in 1996.

Teaching Philosophy:

Good teaching is planned and purposeful. I must design lessons to suit varied learning styles. To prepare students for Advanced Placement tests, lessons must place an emphasis on data analysis, application of knowledge and writing.

A teacher touches lives; I need to demonstrate to them that each one of them is important. My students touch my life, and I am the richer because of them.

Personal:

My husband and I have been in the Grapevine-Colleyville community since 1986. We sponsor CHHS Habitat for Humanity workdays in Fort Worth, and I also serve on the City of Grapevine’s Historic Preservation Commission.
