Background: |
Realizing scholarship opportunity through academics and athletics as a child, I began setting goals to excel in these areas to provide opportunities to continue my education beyond high school with the aide of scholarships. I competed as a softball student-athlete at Georgetown High School, NJCAA, NCAA Division I – Southland Conference, and various select organizations. Growing up, I consistently took opportunities to improve academically and athletically, which resulted in several honors and leadership roles, including functioning as team captain 3 out of 4 years of collegiate eligibility, 2004 NJCAA Academic All-American, and 2006 NCAA Southland Conference All-Academic Catcher. My coaching experience includes head/assistant coaching responsibilities, sports camps, and
private skills lessons for elementary-aged to high school athletes at varying levels of
competition. I completed my student teaching in Physical Education within the Arlington
Independent School District and The Oakridge School. While at UTA, I was actively involved in
the Baptist Student Ministries and co-taught biblical principles to college students. As a
member of Connect Church, I have been blessed with opportunities to teach biblical principles
to 7th-12th grade students and serve as a youth leader |

Educational Philosophy: |
Teaching is one of the greatest avenues in which personal influence and mentorship may be
achieved through a profession. Every child has the potential for success in the classroom and
elsewhere. The greatest opportunity to learn occurs when a relationship built upon mutual
respect has been established, and all students realize that they are valued. |
| Personal Statement: | Most dear to me is my family and faith. I am passionate about positively influencing the lives of today’s youth, because I believe it is my personal calling. My hope is that each young person at CHHS, or elsewhere, would have someone in their lives who would guide them in realizing their passions, purpose, and potential. That they would know, without a doubt, that they are deeply loved. |
