Background:

I was raised in the small town of Central City, Nebraska.  Upon graduation from high school, I was accepted to the United States Naval Academy. While in the Navy, I served 10 years in the nuclear submarine force and as a Navy diver. I left the Navy in 1998 due to the military downsizing and worked the next seven years in manufacturing. While working in manufacturing, I completed my teaching certification through the University of North Texas. This is now my 2nd year at CHHS and I am proud to be a part of such a great school.

Teaching Philosophy:

I believe that every student has the ability to learn and grow into anything he or she wishes to do with hard work and dedication. As a teacher, I strive to make each day a new experience for my students in a safe learning environment. I want my students prepared to be successful for all challenges they will face in life. I integrate real world examples in my teaching to show the students how the material will be relevant in their lives now or at a later time. I want all my students to know that truth and honesty go a long way in my class and in their lifetime of credibility.
