Background:
Originally from Spokane, WA, I moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area after graduating from ASU in 2002. This is my forth year of teaching ESL at CHHS. My interest in teaching ESL stems from my own experience living as an exchange student. In Belgium I had the experience of being immersed in a foreign culture and acquiring a second language, which help me relate to my students both socially and linguistically.
Educational Philosophy:
My goal is to create a student-centered, language-rich environment where English is naturally acquired, and where students are respected as individuals and feel safe to express themselves in their new language.
