Background:

Upon graduating from college, I began substituting on a permanent basis at a high school in Amarillo.  I accepted a position at this high school the following year teaching Algebra II and Geometry.  After completing a year of teaching I decided to travel to the UK and explore some other interests before returning to teaching in 2001 as a CHHS Panther!!  My first  three years at CHHS were wonderful and I anticipate an even better one this year!!

Teaching Philosophy:

I feel that every child, regardless of situation or disability deserves to be educated in a safe and nurturing environment.   Given the proper encouragement and support everyone can learn and grow into a mature and responsible person.  The learning of self should be promoted along with academics so as to produce a well-rounded individual, capable of dealing with various life situations.  Teachers, principals, and parents all play vital roles in accomplishing the healthy development of our children; and, yes, they are OUR children to love, support, and teach!!!

As a returning Panther teacher, I look forward to another wonderful year!!  I want more than anything to make sure that my new students can come into my room and know they are in a good and wonderful place, where their teacher cares for them a great deal!!
