| The advanced measures may be earned in any combination. All four measures may come from one category or there can be a mix of any of the categories. | |
| 2 | Off campus athletics – how does that program work? |
| Students must apply and be approved for the program. Applications and information are included it the Official Program of Studies on page 78. Applications may be submitted to the coordinator of the program at CHHS, Coach Alan McDougal. Students who participate in the program are dismissed for both first and fifth periods or fourth and eighth periods to participate in their sport. |

| 3 | Does IPC in middle school count for one of the science courses required at the high school? |
| Yes. |

| 4 | Do you supply students with places and potential volunteer positions for the Community Scholar Ambassador Program? |
| We have sample lists to help students get ideas of places. We also post positions on the CSA bulletin board when we are notified of volunteer opportunities. This bulletin board is in the hallway just outside of the counseling office. Work performed for any non-profit (501c3) organization is eligible. |

| 5 | Does athletics count as one credit even though it is a double block class? |
| Yes. |

| 6 | Can a student be in marching band but not concert band or vice-versa? |
| Students should participate in the program for the full year. Please feel free to submit your questions about specific activities to the teacher or sponsor |

| 7 | How many students attend this school? How big is the freshman class? |
| Enrollment for most of the current year has averaged approximately 2,500 students. The current freshman class has slightly over 600 students. |

| 8 | What is the student/teacher ratio for a typical class? |
| Most classes will have between 25 and 30 students. A few classes may have slightly more than than 30 or fewer than 25 |

| 9 | Are there tryouts for rodeo and is it a double blocked class? |
| Rodeo club and activities are not a part of the CHHS program and there is no class for it. | |
| 10 | Are students in the Gifted/Talented Program required to have a 90 average in order to remain in the program? |
| There are no specific grade guidelines for continuation in the program; however, it is recommended that an average of 85 be maintained. If students are struggling in classes, school personnel and parents may review their continued participation. |

| 11 | What are the main differences between GT and AP classes? |
| Not all GT classes are AP. In those GT classes that prepare students for AP, the method of delivery of instruction is designed to better meet the needs of the GT student. |

| 12 | Can a student drive as soon as they have their license? What about motorcycles? |
| Students may drive as soon as they are legally licensed. They should obtain a parking permit from the main office before bringing their car on campus. Motorcycles may be brought to campus as long as the drivers are legally licensed and the cycles are registered. Motorcycles parked on campus must also have campus parking permits. |
