Nomination Scholarships

The following scholarships require a nomination from the school.  If you would like to be considered for one of these scholarships complete the scholarship form available in the counseling office.  All applications must be returned to Mrs. Bower in the counseling office by the date listed below.

Texas Exemption Programs

Exemptions are programs that allow public colleges and universities to lower tuition for eligible students.  Texas has exemption programs for some students who:

  • Were in foster care
  • Were adopted
  • Were valedictorians
  • Are blind
  • Are deaf
  • Were early high school graduates
  • Are children of disabled or deceased peace officers
  • Are children of POWS or MIAs
  • Are children of deceased veterans
  • Are children of parents receiving TANF benefits
  • Are children of deceased public servants
