All-State Choir News
All State camp information is now becoming available for those wanting to
seek out additional training for 2008-09 All-State auditions. Additional
camp information will be added as it becomes available. Below are a links to various camps.
All-State Choir Members
Sowmya Somanath, Senior, Soprano 1, Region Mixed Choir Sowmya is a member of the 2008 Texas All-State Treble Choir and will be performing with that choir in San Antonio in the Spring. A 4-year CHHS choral member, Sowmya is in the Panther Chorale choir.
Kamran Ali, Freshman, Tenor 1, Region Mixed Choir Kamran was an Area Alternate for the third round of All-State competition in Abilene. He joined the Junior Varsity Mixed choir this year, coming from Heritage Middle School.
Bailey Gilligan, Senior, Tenor 2, Region Mixed Choir Bailey was an Area Alternate for the third round of All-State competition in Abilene. As a 4-year CHHS choral member, Bailey participates in the Panther Chorale choir and is also the 2007 President of the Ovation! Jazz Choir. Bailey hopes to continue his studies at North Texas State University studying music and choral direction.
Alex Morgan, Senior, Alto 1, Region Mixed Choir Alex was an Area Alternate for the third round of All-State competition in Abilene and is a current member of the Panther Chorale.
Angie Rosenblatt, Senior, Alto 2, Region Mixed Choir – Angie was an Area Alternate for the third round of All-State competition in Abilene. As a 4-year member of the CHHS Choir program she is the 2007 Vice President officer in the Panther Chorale choir and also a 3-year member of the Ovation! Jazz Choir. Angie was also a 2007 NATS semi-finalist competitor in the classical music category.
Chris Wheelock, Senior, Tenor 2, Region Mixed Choir Chris was an Area Alternate for the third round of All-State competition in Abilene and is a current member of the Panther Chorale choir having participated for 4-years in the CHHS Choir program. Chris hopes to continue his education at University of North Texas, majoring in music and choral direction.
Allison Blounder, Senior, Alto 1, Region Mixed Choir Allison is a 4-member of the choral department and is the Panther Chorale choirs 2007 Historian officer. Allison is also a 2-year member of the Ovation! Jazz Choir and was a 2007 NATS competitor in the classical music category. Allison plans to major in music and chorale direction and hopes to attend Indiana State University.
Michelle Chae, Senior, Alto 1, Region Mixed Choir as a x-year member of the CHHS Choral program, Michelle participates in the Panther Chorale choir.
Lauren Cook, Junior, Soprano 2, Region Mixed Choir Lauren is a 3-year member of the CHHS Choral program and is currently the Historian officer of the Ovation! Jazz choir and a member of the Panther Chorale choir. Lauren was a 2007 NATS competitor in the classical music category.
Kathryn Fell, Sophomore, Soprano 1, Honor Treble Choir Kathryn is a 2-year member of the CHHS Choir Department and is in the Junior Varsity Mixed choir.
Madison Gravens, Junior, Soprano 1, Honor Treble Choir as a 3-year member of the CHHS Choral program, Madison is the 2007 Vice President of Ovation! Jazz Choir and a member of the Panther Chorale choir. Madison was a 2007 NATS competitor in both the musical theater and classical divisions, and was a finalist in the classical division.
Josh Jeffers, Junior, Tenor 1, Region Mixed Choir Josh is a 3-year member of the CHHS Choir Department and is in the Panther Chorale choir.
Shannon Michael, Senior, Alto 2, Honor Treble Choir as a 4-year member of the CHHS Choral program, Shannon participates in the Panther Chorale choir and is a 3-year member of the Ovation! Jazz Choir. Shannon has been accepted to North Texas State University.
Kim Nolan, Sophomore, Alto 1, Honor Treble Choir Kim is a 2-year member of the CHHS Choir Department and is in the Junior Varsity Mixed choir.
Morgan PettyJohn, Sophomore, Soprano 1, Honor Treble Choir Morgan is a 2-year member of the CHHS Choir Department and is in the Junior Varsity Mixed choir.
Erin Springer, Junior, Alto 1, Honor Treble Choir Erin is a 4-year member of the CHHS Choir Department and is in the Panther Chorale choir.
Kelly Springer, Freshman, Alto 2, Honor Treble Choir Kelly joined the Junior Varsity Mixed Choir this year, coming from Heritage Middle School. |
