Leisure Reading Area

Students and Staff may enjoy leisure reading in this area.  Here they will find over twenty-five  magazine titles and daily copies of the Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star Telegram and the Grapevine Sun.  Many students utilize this area as a study area as well.

Classroom Seating Area

          

Colleyville Heritage High School has a beautiful library facility in which students may come to do research, to study or to browse the collection.  Three classroom seating areas are available for classes conducting research or checking out books. 

Networked Computers

           

 

The library has twenty PC computers for student use.  These computers access the library online database of library materials, online subscription services, CDROM, Internet, and word processing.  

ONLINE SUBSCRIPTIONS  include:  Infotrak which is a periodical database of over 400 magazines and references, Literature Resource Center for literary research, Scribner's Writers and Twaynes U.S. Authors--both giving information about authors and their works, GaleNet Newspaper database, Informe which is a database for magazines in the Spanish language, Texas Almanac, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, Britannica Encyclopedia, Encyclopedia Americana, Cumbre, a Spanish language encyclopedia, America the Beautiful with information about each state, Lands and People giving information about countries and cultures and Facts on File.

CDROM resources include:  World History, Discovering Nations, Discovering Science, American Decades, Historic Supreme Court Decisions, The Constitution and the Supreme Court, Hispanic American Experience, Westward Expansion, African American Experience, Twaynes U.S. Authors, Scribner Writer Series, Athena Classical Mythology, Exploring Novels, and Career Discovery Encyclopedia.
