Exam Waiver - Fall 2007-2008

The general guidelines approved for Colleyville Heritage’s Exemption Waiver Policy are as follows:

Before your teacher can sign your waiver, your teacher must verify your attendance.

To be exempt from semester exams, a student must meet ALL of the following criteria:

• An 80 average in class with no more than one absence or

• A 90 average in class with no more than two absences

• No ISS or suspensions for any class.

• All fees, fines, books, and projects must be completed and cleared before exemption granted

• Parental permission to obtain the waiver must be given

• No Truancies (must be verified by teacher) (attendance code – W)

• Seniors: No more than three semester exams may be waived during a semester

• Juniors: No more than two semester exams may be waived during a semester

• Sophomores: No more than one semester exam may be waived during a semester

NOTE: Teachers retain the right to decline exam exemptions for any reason.

All requirements must be maintained up to the date of the exam. No alternative classes will be accepted on your waiver application. You must choose your classes at the time the form is handed in. District AP Exams may not be waived.

Incomplete forms will not be accepted and you will not be called into the office for any clarifications. All students must have their completed waivers returned by 4 p.m., January 10, 2008 to Mrs. Noriega or Mrs. Brown ONLY! THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS TIME DEADLINE. APPLICATIONS LEFT IN THE OFFICE AFTER THIS TIME WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
