Colleyville Heritage High School is proud of its record in seeking to
provide opportunities for students to achieve at the highest academic levels, and
encouraging them to do so. Advanced Placement is a significant part of this
goal. Most of the nation's colleges and universities award credit, advanced
placement, or both, for successful performance on the AP exams.

In 2007, Newsweek magazine rated CHHS as one of the top 10
best public high schools in all of the United States. This ranking was based on
our efforts to help students achieve academic success through the Advanced Placement
program.

College Credit for work done in High School
|
|
More than 1,400 institutions award a year of credit (sophomore
standing) to students presenting a sufficient number of qualifying grades. There
are 33 AP examinations offered in 19 subject areas, each consisting of multiple-choice
and free-response (essay or problem solving) questions.

AP Exams |
Students in Advanced Placement Courses are strongly encouraged to take an Advanced
Placement examination in each course. The fee per exam is approximately $50.
Students who earn grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams on full-year courses
or the equivalent number of half-year courses, will receive AP Scholar awards.
